MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO
Taylor Gainey, MHA, PMP
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health industry, I have a passion for breaking down barriers in the prevention field. Half way through my graduate program I made the decision to pivot from the hospital setting in psych to the public sector, simply because I wanted to help people before they got sick and needed to come to the hospital. Little did I know that decision would place me in suicide prevention.
I've spent over 5 years offering education and training to schools, government agencies and faith-based organizations specializing in crisis management, and post-crisis & grief support. In 2024, I attended SAMHSA’s 2nd Black Youth Suicide Policy Academy as a Subject Matter Expert, received the 2025 Rising Star Award from the CT Association for Prevention Professionals, and in 2025 I appeared on WTNH Buzz CT during Mental Health Awareness Month to share self-care and coping strategies.
I am dedicated to shining light on a topic most people aren't comfortable speaking about and providing brave spaces that create meaningful connections. Think of me as your teen's or students' Mental Wealth Mentor -- I can't do the work for them, but I will walk along side of them and equip you, the parent and educator, on how to have these courageous conversations because the village needs to know.
